Some people prefer to live in a house, while others think that there are more advantages living in an apartment.
Are there more advantages than disadvantages to living in a house rather than in an apartment?

Sometimes, it seems that people prefer to live in houses rather than apartments. I think there are individual preferences behind this decision, as each of these choices has their own pros and cons.

Allow me to present two positive aspects of living in an apartment which are related to security and affordability. Mostly, modern apartments re equipped with CCTV, and alarm security systems. According to the report of Victoria Police, published in 2013, number of burglariesoccurred in houses are three time more than apartments. Another issue is that when people live in an apartment, they share some expenses, such as gardening, building maintenance and outdoor cleaning, with the other residents.

However, living in a house has its own advantageous. Some benefits like more privacy and bigger area which are specifically for living in houses. Most houses have a court yard or at least a private area. In addition, living in a house gives people the chance of having late parties and listen to music with high volume which are impossible in an apartment. Another good aspect of living in a house is that houses are commonly bigger and children can easily play around and enjoy their childhood.

In conclusion, I think it is not true to say which one is more advantageous since choosing a house or an apartment is completely depended on individuals’ concerns. If security and expenses are main concerns to apartment is the best choice and when more rooms and privacy is more important, houses are suitable.
